# Will Meta Verified get your Instagram back? What its support can and can't do

**In one minute:** Paying for Meta Verified buys, among other perks, access to human agents, with faster handling and callbacks on pricier tiers. But it's designed for profiles you still control: sign-up runs inside the profile, needs a government ID and Advanced Protection, and only rule-abiding profiles qualify. So it can't buy back an account you've lost. Think of it as insurance for later trouble and protection against copycats, not a way to overturn Instagram's decisions.

## The subscription and its support tiers

The creator version of Meta Verified renews every month and covers Instagram and Facebook profiles. On top of the badge, Meta advertises protection against impersonators, better support, a boost in search and a few cosmetic extras. What you get varies by country, app and account, and companies use a separate business edition.

## Why a lost account can't subscribe

Before Meta lets you subscribe, it checks that:

- you're an adult (18, or the local age of majority) living where the product is sold;
- the profile is a personal or creator profile Meta considers eligible;
- a government photo ID confirms who you are;
- **Advanced Protection** is active;
- the profile is active enough and hasn't recently changed its name, photo or handle too often;
- it stays within Instagram's rules.
